What is it?
Paint Protection Film, also known as “stone guard” or “chip guard” is a tough, durable and
virtually invisible urethane film application. PPF is used to protect your vehicle's paint &
body and preserves its overall condition. The clear film does not alter the appearance of
your vehicle yet, it offers peace of mind and protection against damaging outdoor elements.
PPF creates a virtually invisible barrier to protect your vehicle's exterior finish from, but not limited to:

WHY use Paint Protection Film?
Due to our unique and harsh winter season in Alberta, we are one of few provinces that use
small gravel pebbles coated with road salt and sand, called “pickle”. This is used to clear
ice buildup as well as provide road traction. During chinook periods and spring season
when the snow begins to melt, these pebbles are exposed on the roads turning it into
projectiles that damage your vehicles paint, body and windshield.
It is highly recommended to protect your newly purchased investment with the installation
of PPF; an extremely durable, virtually colorless urethane film that is designed to withstand
high-impact areas of a vehicle to protect it from damaging road debris and harsh
environments. PPF is applied to vulnerable areas such as hoods, bumpers, side mirrors and
the lower portions of your vehicle to keep it looking newer for longer periods and helps to
enhance its resale value.
It's no question that this product should be installed on your brand new (or used) vehicle
before driving it off the lot!

WHERE can Paint Protection Film be installed?
The clear protection film can be installed on most painted metal or plastic/glass surfaces.
PPF can adhere to almost any, non-textured surface depending on its shape and finish.
South Pointe Detail offers up to 4 tiers of packages ranging from Basic Protection all
the way up to a Ultimate Protection package. The decision is left to you on how much

As everybody's needs and driving habits are different, South Pointe Detail also offers a
Custom Protection Package to allow you the freedom to pick and choose specifically which
parts of your vehicle you want protected! (Inquire with your finance/sales manager about

WHO installs Paint Protection Film?
It is strongly recommended that Paint Protection Film be installed by a Certified PPF
Installer. This guarantees that the installer has the necessary training, knowledge and experience
to ensure a high quality and long-lasting install.
At South Pointe Detail, all PPF installers are certified and receive adequate training from a
well-known organization to ensure only the best quality installs. We continually work with
and educate the installers to provide our customers only the highest quality standards.
